WELCOME TO THE  BURY METRO MARINE MODELLING SOCIETY'S  WEB SITE.

Bury Metro Marine Modelling Society is a friendly and active club, although members can sail 7 days a week, the club house is open on Sunday and Wednesdays from 9am till 2pm where refreshments are available from the kitchen.  The club house also has two toilets for members and guests.  Sometimes the clubhouse is open on other days but not normally Thursdays and Saturdays.  Membership is £15 annually until the end of the 2011 season. The 2011 AGM will decide the 2012 fees.  There is a single £5.00 joining fee to cover administration and badges and club book Etc.  Membership fees cover members for insurance throughout the UK, so if you visit another club you are insured.  Any people wanting to try out our facilities may come free for 3 times, and then you will be asked to become a member.  Anyone wishing to join halfway through our season will pay £12.50 inclusive of the joining fee, then £15 until further notice, which is decided in the previous years AGM.  The Club also has a new rescue dinghy with a small electric outboard motor, oars and Life jackets (that you must wear) for use in recovering of model boats which stop in the middle of the lake.

You can sail 7 days a week, but the club room is only open on certain days, the normal Sundays and Wednesdays, and sometimes on Fridays from 10am till 1 pm This is run by the Lazer Yatch members and is rulled by the weather and the fitness of one of the keyholders.
